I grew up in a small town in California's Sierra Nevada Foothills, at the end of a dirt road, in a town no one can spell correctly. From the time I can remember, I have loved to read. I began reading at an early age, and began writing poetry and short stories in elementary school, and continued that passion throughout high school and college. I studied literature, creative writing and communications at University of the Pacific, where I received my BA in English Literature. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, sons and cats, and a communications consultant by day, and writer by night. I have authored many blogs, am a columnist at Modern Mom, and a freelance writer on a variety of topics. Read more about me, my publishing journey, and what's next, here.
