I often know the look and feel of a story, the world it takes place in, and its characters before I've even started to write. Aesthetics help me to remember the world I am creating and the motivations of my characters.

EVOKE is set in the fictional seaside town of Lake Haven, Maine. It has love, loss, friendship, baseball, beaches, sailing, and more! This aesthetic was designed to capture the mood of the atmospheric, paranormal read for YA lovers.

FIVER is a short-story, set in an abandoned estate in the English countryside during a Zombie Apocalypse. This aesthetic was designed to reflect creepy, yet sexy world of this supernatural romance YA lovers will eat up (no pun intended!)

ELEMENTS OF VENGEANCE is an urban fantasy short story series about a 900-year old blood feud between a group of mortals and immortals. It combines magic, supernatural abilities, and medieval legends and has main characters that can command the cardinal elements, fire, air, earth and water.

Melody and sound is powerful. Music helps me dive into the worlds I create, and even deeper into a character's thoughts and feelings. Playlists help set the tone for a particular scene or chapter, and can be a great way to put yourself back in a moment while editing.
